A Letter from our Principal

Welcome to St. Matthew Catholic School.  I am so grateful to serve as the principal of this wonderful community.  As a proud product of Catholic Schools, I appreciate and truly value the importance of educating the whole child.  At St. Matthew we are dedicated to educating a strong, faith-centered community through a commitment to the spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, and physical development of each child.
 
We serve children in grades Pre-K4 through eighth grade.  Our curriculum program is based on the Archdiocesan Standards, including the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), and Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines.  We provide a S.T.R.E.A.M. (Science-Technology-Religion-Engineering-Arts-Math) oriented curriculum through hands-on, project-based learning.  With the commitment and dedication of our amazing faculty, students are challenged and supported to reach academic success.

Our partnership with parents is key to student success.  Together we help our children to learn, grow, and live in their faith.  I strongly believe that it takes the school and parents working together for students to be successful and reach their full potential.

There are so many different opportunities for students here at St. Matthew.  To name a few, we offer leadership opportunities such as Student Council, National Junior Honor Society, and Robotics.  We have an athletic program that includes various sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, and cheerleading.
