2022-2023 St. Matthew Covid-19 Guidance
1. Staying Home When Sick
People with symptoms of infectious diseases should stay home.
St. Matthew will clean surfaces regularly to reduce the risk of germs spreading by touching surfaces.
St. Matthew will reinforce proper handwashing techniques and have adequate supplies including soap, water, and hand sanitizer.
TEST CONFIRMED COVID-19
If an individual tests positive for COVID-19 he or she is required to isolate at home.
Stay home for 5 days (from the onset of symptoms or for asymptomatic from the date of the positive test)
If the individual has no symptoms or the symptoms are resolving after 5 days, he/she can return to work/school
The individual is required to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days upon return
If the individual has a fever or symptoms have not improved, he/she should continue to stay home until the fever resolves and symptoms improve. The individual should be fever free for at least 24 hours.
St. Matthew will quarantine close contact individuals who live in the same household as the test-confirmed case who are not fully vaccinatied.
Reporting
If your child or any member of your household has tested positive, please notify the school nurse via email at ahornedo@smcssa.org.
