St. Matthew Catholic School is dedicated to the mission of educating a strong, faith-centered community through a commitment to the spiritual, moral, intellectual, social and physical development of each child.
The Vision of St. Matthew is to continue as a school, based in our Catholic faith, traditions, and practices that will develop Catholic leaders of the future, offer the highest standards in academic education, and form responsible citizens who are stewards of the earth's resources.
Be it known to all who enter here, That CHRIST is the reason for our school, The unseen but ever present Teacher in our classes, The Model of our faculty and The Inspiration of our students.
At St. Matthew, we believe that it is our responsibility to use the best tools and resources available to us in order to provide our students with an education that lays the groundwork for a lifetime of success and achievement. We strive to balance 21st century technology with the benefits of a traditional Catholic education.
St. Matthew Catholic School is fully accredited by The Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops Education Department (TCCB-ED). The TCCB-ED, through its association with TEPSAC (Texas Private School Accreditation Commission), is recognized by the Texas Education Agency, and is responsible for the implementation of the accreditation process for Texas Catholic Schools. To assist and give direction to the TCCED, the bishops approved the formation of the Texas Catholic Conference Accreditation Commission (TCCAC). Membership on the commission consists of five Catholic school superintendents, six commissioners-at-large and two bishops, who serve as episcopal liaisons.
The Accreditation process occurs on a seven year cycle, which St. Matthew most recently completed in the Spring of 2023.
